Rosalynde Vas Dias was born and raised in Eastern Pennsylvania. She received a B.A. in English in 1999 from DeSales University, a small liberal arts college in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania and holds an M.F.A. in Poetry from Warren Wilson College. She has lived in Providence, Rhode Island since 2002, where she has supported herself by working as an administrative assistant, temp worker, occasional life model, and private poetry teacher. She currently is the bookkeeper for a large-scale live music venue in Providence.
