Anna Ross's chapbook, Hawk Weather, won the New Women’s Voices Prize from Finishing Line Press and the Jean Pedrick Chapbook Award from the New England Poetry Club. She has received fellowships from the Sewanee Writers' Conference, Grub Street, Inc., Fishtrap, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and her work has twice been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her poetry and criticism has appeared in journals such as The Paris ReviewThe New Republic,Southwest ReviewSalamanderBarrow Street, and Boston Review. She teaches at Stonehill College, where she is Poet in Residence, and is a contributing editor in poetry for Guernica: A Magazine of Art & Politics.
